To become a citizen of the United States, an individual must submit a Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, to USCIS. Only lawful Permanent Residents or Green Card holders who had been physically present in the United States for a certain period and met all underlying requirements are eligible to apply.
The N-600, Application for Certificate of Citizenship, allows individuals to obtain a Certificate that will serve as evidence of their U.S. citizenship status.
N-600K allows children under the age of 18 who regularly reside outside of the United States and who have a qualifying relative such as a U.S. Citizen parent to be eligible for citizenship under the Immigration Nationality Act (INA) section322.
